Troubleshooting - Clearing Browser Cache for TouchNet & myPortal

This guide helps students troubleshoot and resolve common issues when attempting to make an online payment, enroll in a payment plan, or log in to the ePayments/TouchNet portal.

●Unable to set up a payment plan or complete an online payment.

●ePayments login screen appears, but sign-in attempts fail or loop back.

●Errors loading TouchNet / eBill components inside myPortal.

●Stale browser cache, outdated cookies, or session conflicts.

●Inactive or locked myPortal account credentials.

●Account-level financial holds or enrollment status questions requiring student services review.

How to Fix

1 Verify myPortal Account & Access

The software for ePayments, eBill, and Payment Plans is called TouchNet, which is accessed directly through myPortal.

●If you have difficulty logging into myPortal, visit the self-service portal to reactivate your myPortal account.

●Once logged in, attempt to access TouchNet / ePayments again from your portal home page.

2 Clear Browser Cache — Google Chrome

If you can reach the ePayments sign-in screen but cannot log in, clearing your browser cache resolves session conflict errors.

●Click the triple dots (Customize and control Google Chrome) button in the upper right corner.

●Select History > History (or press Ctrl + H).

●In the left-hand column, click Clear browsing data.

●Select the Basic tab and set the Time range dropdown to All time.

●Check the boxes next to Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.

●Click Clear data (or Clear browsing data), close Google Chrome completely, and relaunch the browser.

3 Clear Browser Cache — Mozilla Firefox

Follow these steps to clear history and cached website data in Firefox:

●In the upper right corner, click the Application menu (three horizontal lines) and select History.

●Click Clear recent history... (or press Ctrl + Shift + Delete).

●In the When or Time range to clear: dropdown, select Everything.

●Check the boxes next to Browsing & Download History, Cookies, Cache, and Form & Search History.

●Click Clear Now (or OK), close Firefox completely, and relaunch.

4 Clear Browser Cache — Microsoft Edge

Follow these steps to clear browsing history and cached data in Microsoft Edge:

●In the upper right corner, click the Settings and more (three dots ...) button and select History (or press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open the clear data dialog directly).

●Click the three dots (...) in the History flyout menu and select Clear browsing data.

●Set the Time range dropdown to All time.

●Check the boxes next to Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.

●Click Clear now, close Microsoft Edge completely, and relaunch.

5 Clear Browser Cache — Apple Safari (macOS)

Follow these steps to clear history and website data on Apple Safari:

●In the menu bar at the top of your screen, click Safari.

●Select Clear History... from the dropdown menu.

●In the Clear dropdown menu, select all history.

●Click the Clear History button, quit Safari completely, and relaunch.
