Clearing the cache for outlook can help with lots of issues, especially those related to how the application performs on your device. These files are temporary and will be automatically recreated. This does not delete emails or account data.
How to:
- Close Outlook
- In the search bar next to the Start Menu at the bottom left of Windows, type in “Run” and choose the option for the Run app that pops up.
- Alternatively you can go to Windows Icon -> All apps -> Windows Tools -> Run
- In the Run app, type in %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook, and look for the “RoamCache” folder in there.
- You can also put that folder path into File Explorer if you would rather do that instead.
- Delete the contents of the "RoamCache" folder, but not the folder itself.
- These are just temporary files, it’s ok to delete them. Worst case scenario, if something breaks you can just make a new profile.
