Overview
Columbia College assigns staff, faculty, and students both a College Username (e.g., jmdoe123) and an email address (e.g., jmdoe123@ccis.edu or jmdoe123@cougars.ccis.edu). Different systems and applications require different login username formats. This guide details which format to use across each campus application.

Important Login Notes
- Single Password: For all sign-in methods described below, use the same password you most recently set for your Columbia College account.
- Password Errors: If you experience password errors or need to reset your password, visit the Fischer IDM Password Reset Portal.

Instructions by Application Type
1 Microsoft Sign-In Screens (username@ccis.edu)
When you encounter a standard Microsoft 365 login screen, enter your credentials using your full CCIS email address format:
●Format: username@ccis.edu (e.g., jmdoe123@ccis.edu)
●Used For: myPortal login, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Office desktop/web apps, and integrated links within myPortal.
2 Cougar Mail Google Sign-In (username@cougars.ccis.edu)
Cougar Mail is a Google-hosted mail system provided by Columbia College for Students, Alumni, and Adjunct Instructors. When signing into Gmail or adding your account to a mobile mail application, use your Cougar Mail address format:
●Format: username@cougars.ccis.edu (e.g., jmdoe123@cougars.ccis.edu)
●Used For: Google Workspace / Gmail.com web login, mobile Gmail app, Apple Mail, and third-party mail clients.
