Overview
Adding the Phishing tool to Outlook.
This tool should be used consistently for any questionable emails you receive. This document contains steps to report a phishing email to Columbia College's Cougar Security team and troubleshoot issues with the PhishNotify button.
How to:
Submitting an Email with PhishNotify
1. When in a suspicious email, select the “Report Phishing” button from the Outlook ribbon.

2. A dialog box will appear as a pop-up confirming if the email was or was not a phishing simulation email.
Once the email has been reported, a member of the Columbia College Cougar Security Team will reply regarding the status of the reported email.
PhishNotify is an Outlook COM add-in and runs within Outlook. If the PhishNotify button is not visible within your Outlook application, you will follow these steps.
- Select File

- Select Slow and Disabled COM Add-ins

- You should then see Infose IQ PhishNotify listed. Select “Always enable this add-in “(it may be marked in red).
- Restart Oulook.
- You should now see the PhishNotify Report Phishing button upon opening Outlook again.
