Switching Accounts in myPortal & Cougar Mail
If you have multiple Microsoft or Google accounts signed in on your device, you may see other accounts when accessing myPortal or Cougar Mail. This guide will help you access your Columbia College Gmail (Cougar Mail) and myPortal account.
Switching Between Accounts in myPortal
1. When signing into myPortal, you may see multiple accounts listed, along with the option to "+ Use another account."
2. If you see an account unrelated to Columbia College, it may be from a previous sign-in for Microsoft applications like Word or Excel.
a) If you see your "username@ccis.edu" account listed, select it. If not, select "+ Use another account" and sign in with your myPortal log in.
3. To Log Out of myPortal, select the avatar icon in the top right corner. Then select "Logout"
Switching Between Accounts in Gmail to Access Cougar Mail
1. Sign into myPortal or navigate to Gmail.com in a web browser.
a) If you signed into myPortal first, find the "Cougarmail & Google Drive" widget on the dashboard, and select "See All Emails"
2. Similarly to myPortal, if you've ever utilized a Google log in, when selecting "See All Emails" it may just take you to that account's inbox.
a) To sign into your Cougar Mail, select the top right avatar circle (this might just be a colorful circle with your initial, or a profile picture).
3. This drop down will appear and you can select your "username@cougars.ccis.edu" account if it appears, or select "+ Add account" and sign into your Cougar Mail.
