This guide is a quick reference for the Control Panel and Bright Link Projectors in the classrooms

Body

Access
Log in to the computer using your username & password. If this is the first time you are logging into this instructor station, the login process may take up to ten minutes to load your profile. This extended login will only take place the first time you log in. If your login takes longer than ten minutes, use the phone in the classroom to call Technology Services, ext. 4357 (or from your cell phone 573.875.4357).


Whiteboard
The board space at the front of the classroom is a whiteboard. Use the provided dry erase markers and erasers or shammy with the spray bottle solution to erase content, the entire surface of the board is writable.


Computer Monitors
Each room is equipped with two computer monitors on articulating arms. Both monitors are linked to a single computer. One monitor can be used to share a projected image, while the other can be used as the instructor only display.


Projection
In addition to the whiteboard capability, the boards at the front of the classroom have touch screen capabilities. With the installation of the BrightLink Interactive Laser Display, there’s the option to display content from the computer or document camera. Use the control panel located at the instructor station to operate the projector, camera, and speakers.

 

Control Panel
The control panel is the touchscreen on the swivel mount next to the computer monitors. To activate the control panel, use your finger to tap the screen. The display will turn on and look like this:

1. On the left side of the touchscreen are the Display options:
         On: activates the projector
         Off: deactivates the projector
         Mute: temporarily turns off the projector
         Touch: controls the touch feature for the BrightLink Interactive Laser Display. If Touch is turned off, none of the touchscreen features will operate. If it’s turned on, the display is active.

2. In the middle of the touchscreen display are the Camera Controls to the camera at the back of the classroom.
          The available options control the movement of the camera. Tracking allows the camera to follow the presenter at the front of the room.


3. On the right side of the touchscreen are the Volume controls.
          The up arrow increases volume, down arrow decreases volume, and mute silences the soundbar. The Mic can be muted as well.


4. In the lower left-hand corner of the touchscreen is the Help button.
          This option provides the contact information for Technology Services, ext. 4357


5. In the lower right-hand corner of the touchscreen is the System Off button.
          Selecting this button turns off the projector and classroom camera.

BrightLink Interactive Projector
Use the BrightLink Interactive Projector to display PowerPoints, websites, documents, or other items to share. Control the display using your mouse and keyboard or use the touch capabilities on the image projected on the whiteboard. Your finger can be used on the screen or use the provided interactive pens.


Easy Interactive Tools
1. On each of the computers is software entitled Easy Interactive Tools, this software operates the digital whiteboard or provides an annotation mode (for drawing over projected images).
