Note: This article is specifically for accounts with a paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license.

Accessing Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat
To access Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, follow these steps:
- Navigate: Open your browser and go to office.com
- Sign In: Ensure you are signed into your Microsoft 365 account under Columbia College.
- Clear Cache and Cookies: If you encounter issues, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your workstation, and try again

If you have the license for Microsoft 365 Copilot, this is how you access it through all Microsoft 365 Applications
Microsoft 365 Copilot functions are embedded into various Microsoft 365 apps, including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, and more. Here’s how to access them:
Outlook
- Open Outlook: Launch Outlook on your desktop or web browser.
- Copilot Button: Look for the Copilot button in the Home tab. If it’s missing, ensure you are signed in with the correct account and have the latest updates installed

Word
- Open Word: Launch Word on your desktop or web browser.
- Copilot Button: Find the Copilot button in the Home tab. If it’s not visible, check your account settings and update your app

Excel
- Open Excel: Launch Excel on your desktop or web browser.
- Copilot Button: Locate the Copilot button in the Home tab. Ensure your account is correctly signed in and the app is updated

PowerPoint
- Open PowerPoint: Launch PowerPoint on your desktop or web browser.
- Copilot Button: Look for the Copilot button in the Home tab. Make sure your account is signed in and the app is up to date

OneNote
- Open OneNote: Launch OneNote on your desktop or web browser.
- Copilot Button: Find the Copilot button in the Home tab. Verify your account settings and update the app if necessary

Accessing Copilot Functions in Microsoft 365 Online:
Copilot functions are also available in the online versions of Microsoft 365 apps. Here’s how to access them:
- Open Browser: Launch your preferred web browser.
- Sign In: Go to the Microsoft 365 website office.com and sign in with your account.
- Select App: Choose the app you want to use (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Copilot Button: Look for the Copilot button in the Home tab of the online app. If it’s not visible, ensure your account is correctly signed in and the app is up to date.
Troubleshooting
- Check Account: Ensure you are signed in with an account that has a Copilot license.
- Update Apps: Make sure all your Microsoft 365 apps are updated to the latest version.
- Clear Cache and Cookies: If you encounter issues, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your workstation, and try again
