IronPort Spam Filter - Whitelist Email Addresses

Sometimes emails coming from outside our network can be blocked by our IronPort's (spam filter).  You can allow these emails through by adding the email address to your spam filter safe list.

Overview

Sometimes emails coming from outside our network can be blocked by our IronPort's (spam filter).  You can allow these emails through by adding the email address to your spam filter safe list.  

How to:

1. Navigate to your Outlook email inbox (through the application, or the web at office.com)

2. Select the blue link that says "your email quarantine" this will direct you to your personal spam folder.

3. Select the "Options" drop down menu, and choose "Safelist"

4. Type in the email address you'd like to whitelist, then select "Add to list"

             a. This is also where you can choose to remove emails from the Safelist if need be.

             b. If you want to Safelist an entire domain (maybe because you get multiple emails from the same company that you want to Safelist), just input the domain name instead.

             a. The following formatting message to the right should help further explain how to type in certain domains.
