Introduction
As Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 in October 2025, Technology Services is proactively preparing to upgrade Columbia College computers to the latest stable Windows 11 operating system. This upgrade will ensure that our systems are secure, efficient, and ready for the start of classes in Fall 2025. The transition to Windows 11 will bring enhanced features, improved performance, and a modern interface that will benefit both students and staff. Stay tuned for more details on the upgrade process and timeline.
When is the upgrade happening?
Pilot Testing - Group 1 - Started on Monday March 31st 2025
Pilot Testing - Group 2 - Started on Monday May 12th 2025 through Saturday May 31st 2025
Initial Deployments to begin the first week of June 2025
