Zoom Phone - Zoom Phone Mobile App Navigation Guide

Overview

The contents of this article will walk you through how to use your Zoom Phone capabilities on a mobile phone. In order to use this functionality you will have to download and install the Zoom app on your device. The Zoom app works on both iOS and Android and be downloaded from the App Store or Play Store respectively. 

Disclaimer: Use of Zoom or Zoom Phone on your personal device is not required. Limited support for personal devices is available if you run into any issues. 

Disclaimer 2: Some images may look slightly different depending on the phone and version of the app. Functionality will be the same across platforms though. 

 

How to:

1. Download the Zoom App from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

2. Once installed, open the app to sign in.

3. Once you click Sign in you will see the following screen. (Be sure to select the SSO option)

4. On the next screen type in ccis and click next. Sign in as you would with myPortal. 

5. Once signed in you will see the home screen. If you have connected your calendar to Zoom you will see your calendar otherwise you will see a blank screen with meeting buttons up top.

6. Click the phone icon on the bottom row to open up your Zoom Phone. This will default to showing you your call history.

- Along the top ribbon you will be able to select the following: 

  • History - Default Screen for Zoom Phone
  • Voicemail - Check voice mails here, clicking on a voice mail will also open a text transcript of the message for quick access on the go. 
  • Lines - Allows you to select which line you want to use. (Some users have multiple lines that they help maintain)
  • SMS - Not functional for now

7. To make a call select the dialer at in the top left.

8. Making calls is just like dialing from your personal phone. No need to dial 8 to get an outside line. Simply dial the full 10 digit phone number.

  • For the caller ID at the bottom. Here you can select which number you want to show on the recipients caller ID. This is helpful for if you manage multiple lines and need to ensure your outbound calls show the proper number. 

9. Receiving calls is also very similar to how you get a call on your personal device. You will see a pop up like the one below. Simply answer or refuse the call as needed.
