Cougar Mail - Mobile Device Set Up

The instructions below detail how to setup your CougarMail on mobile devices.

 

Problem Resolution:

 

First check in Cougarmail that they have enabled POP/IMAP.

 

1. Login to Cougarmail

2. In the upper right, click the gear shaped icon.

3. Click Settings

4. Along the top, click Forwarding and POP/IMAP

5. Check that POP download: 1. POP is enabled for all mail

If not, select Enable POP for all mail

 6. Check that IMAP access: IMAP is enabled

If not, select Enable IMAP

7. Scroll to the bottom of the page, click Save Changes

 

iPhone:

1. Tap Settings

2. Tap Passwords & Accounts

3. Under ACCOUNTS, tap Add Account

4. Tap Google

5. Enter the full Cougarmail address EX: username@cougars.ccis.edu, tap Next

6. Enter the Cougarmail password, tab Next

7. Adjust your settings how you prefer

8. In the upper right corner, tap Save

 

Android:

1. Tap Settings

2. Tap Accounts

3. Tap Add Account

5. Tap Google

6. Enter the full Cougarmail address Ex. username@cougars.ccis.edu, tap Next

7. Enter the Cougarmail Password, tap Next

 

 

If you are using the Gmail app to add the account:

1. Open Gmail App

2. Swipe to the right to open the menu, tap Settings

3. Tap Add Account

4. Tap Google

5. Enter the full Cougarmail address. Ex. username@cougars.ccis.edu, tap Next

6. Enter the Cougarmail password, tap Next
